About Moving the Mob

Moving the Mob is Kinetic’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander licence upgrade and employment pathway program. The program provides paid training, licence upgrades, mentoring and ongoing support to help mob build a career as professional bus drivers in a culturally safe and inclusive environment.

What’s on offer

• Paid training and licence upgrades through Moving the Mob
• Great pay from $45.29 (base) per hour
• Multiple positions available
• Local work based in Portsmith or Smithfield
• Secure, ongoing employment with a national transport operator

As a bus driver, you’ll play an important role in keeping community connected. You’ll be fully trained across customer service, ticketing, and driving a range of services including general routes, charters and special events.

What we’re looking for

• A customer-first attitude and enjoyment in working with the public
• Willingness to obtain a Queensland Driver Authorisation
• Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical and physical assessment
• Australian work rights
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable and punctual
