This is an exciting opportunity to progress your career and obtain experience working as an Administration Team Leader in the Courts & Prosecution Services Division of Victoria Police's Legal Services. Victoria Police's Legal Services provides legal services and advice to support policing, courts, and the Victorian community. Legal Services is led by an Executive Director (who is also the organisation's General Counsel) and employs over 800 staff spread across four divisions – the Office of the Executive Director; the Specialist Legal and Litigation Division; the Courts & Prosecution Services Division; and the Legal Business Operations Division.
The Administration Team Leader is a pivotal role within Barwon Prosecutions - Geelong Prosecutions Unit, contributing to the effective operation of the division by delivering high-level administrative and business support. Working as part of a team of three, comprising two VPSG2 administrative staff/legal support officers. The position underpins the unit's daily functions and ensures smooth coordination across key processes. The role's mandate encompasses full accountability for the initiation, delivery, and continuous improvement of administrative services.
The position reports to the management team within the work unit and works closely with senior management, internal stakeholders, and other prosecution units, maintaining strong professional relationships and supporting cross-unit collaboration as required. Key initiatives include the independent management of the student placement program, preparation of briefing materials and reports for senior stakeholders, and contributing to process improvements that enhance administrative efficiency across the division whilst maintaining compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, policies and procedures.
