About the role
At The Industry School, we’re doing education differently.
Our young people in Years 10–12 learn through a combination of classroom education, vocational training, workplaces and real industry experiences. We’re preparing students not just to pass a subject, but to understand why what they’re learning matters and where it can take them.
We’re looking for an experienced Mathematics Teacher who wants to bring their expertise, creativity and real-world perspective into a school environment that is genuinely different.
If you’re passionate about mathematics but sometimes wish you had more opportunity to make it practical, relevant and connected to the world beyond school, this could be the role for you.
Why this role?
You’ll have the opportunity to teach mathematics in a way that connects with the lives, aspirations and future careers of our young people.
You’ll work alongside educators, industry partners and our wider school community to create learning experiences that help students see the relevance of mathematics in the real world.
This is a chance to use your experience as a teacher to make mathematics come alive.
About us
The Industry School is unlike any other senior school.
We work with young people who want a deliberately different educational experience one that blends senior secondary education with vocational learning and genuine industry exposure.
Our unique two-to-three-year program for students in Years 10–12 is designed to build employability skills, develop individual strengths and achieve personalised learning goals while meeting Queensland curriculum and vocational requirements.
Our students learn in the classroom, in workplaces and on the job.
That means our teachers do more than deliver curriculum. They build relationships, open doors and help young people understand what is possible for their future.
