The purpose of the roleThe Head of Compliance Incidents, Advice and Insightsleads compliance and conduct risk advisory for major transformation programs, high-risk initiatives and emerging areas of regulatory complexity, ensuring regulatory obligations, customer outcomes and conduct risk considerations are embedded by design. In doing so, this role supports the organisation to pursue innovation, growth and operational change while maintaining alignment with regulatory requirements, internal policies and risk management frameworks.

Asa member of the Compliance Leadership Team this role will lead a small team and partner with senior stakeholders across Australia, New Zealand and Hong Kong to strengthen incident management, remediation activities, reporting and data-led insights.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Advisory - provide strategic compliance and conduct risk advice and challenge across major business initiatives, transformation programs and complex regulatory matters.
• Incident Management - lead second line oversight of compliance issues, incidents, breaches and remediation, including framework uplift and regulatory reporting.
• Reporting & Insights - lead the evolution of compliance reporting and insights capability, leveraging data, analytics and emerging technologies to identify trends, anticipate risks and support Executive and Board decision-making.
• Policies & Frameworks - strengthen compliance frameworks, governance and stakeholder engagement across the business to embed customer fairness, accountability and continuous improvement.

What you’ll need to make it possible

We anticipateyou’llbring senior advisory experience in compliance, conduct risk, oversight and challenge on strategic initiatives, significant change and transformation programs.

In addition, you’ll bring to the role:

• Tertiary qualifications in Business, Law, Risk, Compliance and a professional compliance, risk or governance accreditation would be highly desirable.
• Deepunderstanding of APRA and the broader Australian regulatory requirements.
• Deep expertise in incident, issue and breach management, including remediation, root cause analysis, control uplift and regulatory reporting obligations.
• Demonstrated success developing and enhancing compliance frameworks, policies, reporting and governance practices that are fit for purpose and commercially pragmatic.
• Strong analytical capability, with experience using incident, complaint, breach and risk data to identify emerging themes, systemic issues and conduct risks.
• Direct experience improving reporting, dashboards and insights capability, including data visualisation and analytics tools such as Power BI, automation or AI-enabled solutions.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate credibly with senior leaders, governance forums and cross-functional stakeholders across the Three Lines.
• Proven people leadership capabilityto contribute as a member of the Compliance LT, balance strategic thinking with direct delivery and skilled at developing high performing compliance professionals.
