About the role
At Artisan Legal, we believe that practising law should be rewarding, sustainable and enjoyable.
We're a boutique law firm practising predominantly in Wills & Estates, Conveyancing, Superannuation and Family Law. We are passionate about making the law clear, practical and accessible for our clients, and equally passionate about creating a workplace where our team feels supported, trusted and valued.
We're looking for a Lawyer with at least 1 year post-admission experience to join our growing team. While experience in Wills & Estates is preferred, we're open to lawyers with broader private practice experience who are keen to develop their expertise in this area.
This is not a firm where every minute of your day is scrutinised or where success is measured solely by timesheets.
Instead, you'll join a close-knit team that values quality work, genuine client relationships and professional growth.
When you join us, you can expect:
A supportive, down-to-earth and friendly team culture
Direct access to experienced Directors who are approachable, generous with their knowledge and invested in your development
Meaningful client contact and the opportunity to build strong professional relationships
Autonomy to manage your own matters, with guidance and mentoring available whenever required
Exposure to a diverse range of private client work
Flexible full-time or part-time arrangements for the right candidate
An environment where trust, respect and work-life balance are genuinely valued
You will work closely with our Directors and broader team, primarily assisting clients with:
Estate planning and succession matters
Wills and testamentary trusts
Powers of Attorney and Advance Care Directives
Deceased estate administration
Estate disputes and related matters (depending on experience)
You may also have the opportunity to gain exposure to our Conveyancing, Superannuation and Family Law practices.
You are someone who enjoys working with people and takes pride in delivering practical, client-focused advice.
Ideally, you will have:
At least 1 year post-admission experience
Experience in Wills & Estates or a genuine interest in developing your practice in this area
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Confidence in dealing directly with clients
The ability to manage matters with an appropriate level of independence
Excellent organisational and time-management skills
A current practising certificate
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who is motivated, personable and wants to be part of a team that genuinely enjoys working together.
If you're looking for a role where you'll be trusted, supported and given the opportunity to build a rewarding long-term career, we'd love to hear from you.
To apply, please email your CV and a covering letter to:
Start date: Negotiable, with an immediate start available for the right candidate.
Salary: Competitive salary package, negotiable and commensurate with experience.
