Early Childhood Traineeship - Community Based Centre

Belmont Community Child Care Centre is a not for profit Early Childhood Centre working with children and families from birth to school age.  The centre has been established for over 37 years and has a strong presence in the Lake Macquarie Community.  We are committed to providing quality educational programs in a fair and equitable way in accordance with the National Quality Framework and pride ourselves on being Child Safe Organisation.

This position is a temporary full time (38 hours per week) for 18 months (with the option to finish in 12 months if course load can be completed in this time), entailing both practical and theory based training. The position will commence in September.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU….

• Must be 18 years or older.

• An ability to provide a warm, welcoming and fun environment for both the children and their team; 

• An ability to work collaboratively with your team to achieve positive learning outcomes for the children; 

• A strong interest in learning more about education and care for young children; and

• An ability to create positive relationships with co-educators, children and their families.

• No prior experience is required.
