Occupational Therapist, OT | Mobile Services - Work from home

OptimalYou is an operating business, a provider of allied health services to the South-Eastern and Eastern suburbs of Melbourne. We’re a trusted provider of Mental Health / Physical Occupational Therapy and allied health services. Our aim is to optimise holistic health and wellbeing for our clients. Services are provided on a mobile basis, on site with clients, or via telehealth.

How the role works from a day to day perspective
As a contractor you will be able to work flexibly and determine your work hours and days. You can fit your OptimalYou work around other commitments you have, including another job, study or childcare responsibilities.
Your caseload will be determined based on your level of experience and areas of interest.
Let us know the hours you want to work and we can determine a flexible arrangement that is mutually convenient, including both direct and indirect time. We’re able to support you with booking appointments, scheduling and invoicing to provide more opportunity to focus on your clinical work.
We pride ourselves in support. There will be constant communication, collaboration, safety protocols and support to ensure you are properly inducted to the role (operationally and clinically). We strive to tailor to your individual needs to ensure you feel safe and comfortable with your role.
Scope of Practice
Population: Adolescents and Adults (16-65) with NDIS plans or working towards NDIS access and scope for community practice.
Service Delivery Model: Individual and flexible work, team training. A combination of face to face and Telehealth service provision will be required.
Service Location: OptimalYou Allied Health Services primarily services the surrounding south-eastern suburbs of Victoria. We are a mobile service and offer an office however encourage working from home.
Your role: To provide a comprehensive range of Occupational Therapy services to clients including assessment, individualised evidence-based interventions, therapies and recommendations. You will be competent in writing client reports detailing assessment findings, therapy progress notes and recommendations based on your clinical reasoning. You will work collaboratively with clients and their support teams to promote wellness, to increase independence and support recovery.
Travel: Travel to clients limited within a 30 minute radius.

Your Skills:
Experience in Physical/Mental health or have interest in learning clinical service provision in Mental Health
Willingness to develop as a clinician
Works well within a team
Passionate and understanding of person-centered & evidence-based practice
A commitment to personal and professional quality improvement
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Excellent time management and organisational skills
Understanding or experience working within the NDIS
An ability to work effectively within a remote team

What you need:
Australian Citizenship
Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or equivalent
Current AHPRA registration
Australian working right
Insurances (Professional Indemnity, Vehicle etc)
Current Driver’s Licence with use of own vehicle
