Tonic + Ginger within The Old Synagogue, Fremantle is recruiting for a proven & experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to help our Restaurant Manager continue the strong success that the venue has achieved.
Tonic + Ginger (est. 2019) is a 110 seat, funky modern Asian restaurant, specialising in shared dining with an emphasis on our ‘Feed Me’ - this multi-award-winning restaurant is still at the top of it’s game in a competitive & exciting location. Our newly refurbished kitchen showcases big & bold favours that are always balanced to perfection, T+G also boasts an incredible wine list, cocktail program and beverage offering.
We want that outstanding individual who will strive to make our guests time with us an unforgettable experience as well as upholding cover numbers, seating times, spend per head and our two-seating busy service with flipping tables.
THE RIGHT APPLICANT WILL DEMONSTRATE:
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar high volume, fast paced role as a manager or senior supervisor
Service is at the heart of everything you do - ensuring all operations are in line for smooth service and a memorable guest experience
A genuinely charismatic, energetic personality with a desire to succeed
Ability to monitor employees for professionalism and presentation with performance management and mentoring as required
A positive and respectful management style
Excellent communication, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
Flexible availability with weekend shifts & nights the expectation
Adhere and improve wage targets and cost of goods as a priority
Must have a current WA RSA Certificate and full Australian working rights
Experience in training of staff in service delivery, service recovery and motivating upselling items across all menus
Strong beverage knowledge - can shake a cocktail when needed or advise on the perfect pairing of wine to our food
Able to work with chefs, run the pass when necessary and assist with menu development & continuous feedback.
The Assistant Restaurant Manager will also have the ability to effectively balance bookings (Sevenrooms) and flow in the restaurant for maximum financial impact whilst maintaining an excellent standard of service.
