Operation Manager Civil Construction

Spry Civil Construction is a well-established civil construction company based in Murray Bridge, South Australia, with a strong reputation for delivering high quality infrastructure and earthworks projects safely, efficiently and on time. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our leadership team and play a key role in delivering outstanding outcomes across our project portfolio.

About the Role:

Working closely with the General Manager, the Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the business. You will be responsible for ensuring all projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest of standards that Spry Civil Construction are accustomed to.

You will provide strategic oversight across multiple projects, ensuring people, plant and resources are aligned to deliver exceptional operational performance.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Oversee the successful delivery of multiple civil construction projects.

·         Drive high-performance outcomes by leading and supporting Project managers, Supervisors and site teams.

·         Develop project delivery strategies to achieve safety, quality, financial and programme objectives.

·         Monitor project performance, productivity and resource allocation.

·         Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, environmental requirements and company policies.

·         Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and business performance.

·         Develop and strengthen relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and stakeholders.

·         Assist with project planning and resource forecasting.

·         Manage plant, equipment and labour deployment across multiple projects.

·         Mentor and develop employees to build a strong leadership culture.

·         Work alongside Maintenance Manger to plan in services and work.

About You:

To be successful in this role you will need to have: 

·         Extensive experience in civil constructions operations or senior project management.

·         Demonstrated leadership experience managing multiple projects and teams.

·         Sound understanding of WHS legislation and risk management.

·         Proven ability to analyse situations and make strategic, well-informed decisions.

·         Demonstrated track record of delivering balanced decisions that achieve operational excellence, financial performance and exceptional client outcomes.
