We’re looking for experienced hospitality professionals to join an Italian Osteria in the Sydney CBD, with opportunities available across Senior Section Waiters and Management.

We’re looking for people who already understand what great service looks like and are confident taking ownership of their section, leading a service, and contributing to a strong team culture.

These are above-award positions for experienced hospitality professionals who take genuine pride in their work and want to be part of a venue where standards, service and people matter.

About the Role

Whether you’re joining us as a Senior Section Waiter or stepping into a management position, you’ll be hands-on in the room and play an important role in delivering the overall guest experience.

You’ll work alongside the wider leadership team to ensure service is smooth, the team is supported, and standards remain high from the first guest through to close.

For Senior Section Waiters, this is an opportunity to take real ownership of your section and be trusted to deliver a high level of service without being micromanaged.

For Management, you’ll take a broader role in leading the floor, developing the team and helping drive the day-to-day operation of the restaurant.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Taking full ownership of your section and delivering confident, attentive service

• Leading service with presence, professionalism and attention to detail

• Building genuine relationships with guests and understanding their needs

• Demonstrating strong knowledge of food, wine and Italian hospitality

• Working closely with the kitchen and wider team to ensure service feels seamless

• Maintaining high standards across service, presentation and cleanliness

• Supporting and developing junior members of the team

• Handling guest feedback confidently and professionally

• For Management — overseeing service, leading the floor, managing the team and supporting the broader operation

• Contributing to a positive, respectful and high-performing team culture

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in a quality restaurant, Italian restaurant, hatted venue or similar

• Strong section waiting experience with the ability to confidently manage a busy section

• Excellent food and beverage knowledge

• Strong understanding of service standards and guest experience

• Confident communication and natural hospitality

• The ability to remain calm, organised and professional under pressure

• A genuine interest in Italian food, wine and hospitality

• For Management — previous supervisory or management experience in a quality restaurant environment

This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for experienced Senior Section Waiters and hospitality leaders who can step into the role with confidence.
