About the role
The Drake Group is an industry-leading organisation recognised for innovation, excellence, quality, and service. We are currently seeking a motivated Inventory Coordinator to join our dedicated Procurement and Inventory Team.
With more than 60 years of combined engineering and manufacturing experience, The Drake Group designs and delivers high-quality, cutting-edge products for local and international markets. Our expertise also includes the service, repair, and overhaul of heavy haulage trailers, reinforcing our reputation as a leader in the heavy haulage industry.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Coordinator to join our dynamic team. If you are passionate about the transport and manufacturing industries, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and have strong attention to detail, this could be the opportunity for you.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure all stock is correctly accounted for in the system.
Understand inventory holding cost versus production and /or sales and use the knowledge as part of all inventory decision making processes.
Monitor stock levels and conduct regular audits to prevent discrepancies and ensure optimal stock availability.
Drive and take ownership of the planning, implementation and performance of stocktake activities for assigned warehouse locations.
Collaborate with various departments to forecast inventory needs and ensure timely replenishment, including accurate min and max levels.
Prepare and present reports on inventory metrics, trends, and projections to management.
Support in the planning and implementation of stock take activities.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in inventory management, logistics, or a related field.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in a Warehouse Management System such as Pronto or SAP (WMS) and Microsoft Office 365
Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
