About The Role

We're looking for a Senior Project Engineer to join our Infrastructure Delivery team, working on Lumea Projects. You'll manage the project engineering function within the project team, undertaking detailed engineering management and support to various project teams delivering projects across our prescribed and non-prescribed programs. You'll be part of a project team or teams up to 10 concurrently based on complexity managing technical, procurement, materials, construction, design coordination and start-up and close-out items, and managing your own projects where a Project Manager isn't required. Working closely with Construction, Lumea, Procurement, Engineering Design, Project Development and Asset Management teams, this role calls for a highly collaborative, influential and technically astute person to coordinate critical projects across Australia.

What You'll Be Doing

Leading and mentoring junior Project Engineers, and fostering a culture of continuous improvementManaging technical RFI responses and being accountable for developing project specificationsCoordinating design responses for construction and applying technical knowledge to resolve construction issuesManaging IFC designs, as-built drawing processes and the project close-out and asset acceptance processLeading delivery of projects where a Project Manager is not assignedDeveloping and maintaining project programs, cost estimates and budgets, and identifying efficienciesInfluencing the Construction team to ensure efficient project deliveryManaging external customer design interfaces and facilitating design interface meetingsProviding expert technical advice and acting as a point of escalation for Project EngineersEnsuring compliance with financial, audit and regulatory reporting requirementsReporting monthly on schedule, budget and risk to the project team

What You'll Bring

A degree qualification in a relevant engineering disciplineHigh-level technical knowledge of substation or transmission line asset constructionSubstantial experience designing, constructing and managing large, complex infrastructure projects with multiple stakeholdersHigh-level business and commercial acumenA highly collaborative and decisive behaviour style, with the ability to think outside the box and drive changeProven ability to work autonomouslyExperience managing construction contractsExperience in team management, resource management and leadership roles
