Fleet Supervisor

About the Role:

Reporting to the State Transport Manager of our QLD Metro division, the Fleet Supervisor will leverage their strong transport expertise, sharp attention to detail, and leadership capability to drive performance and service excellence.

In this key leadership role, your knowledge of transport operations will be vital in upholding high safety standards, ensuring fleet efficiency, and delivering optimal outcomes for our clients. You’ll lead a dedicated team of drivers, build and sustain effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, and apply sound financial acumen to manage operational costs and drive continuous improvement.

What you’ll do:
Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Ensure timely and accurate scheduling and allocation of daily fleet operations
• Maintain excellent working relationships with all stakeholders, customers, and drivers
• Communicate effectively with drivers and customers regarding planning, runs, and delays
• Conduct proactive assessments to identify opportunities for operational efficiency
• Manage and monitor payroll, driver’s performance, leave entitlements, and truck servicing
• Proactively managing sub-contractors and associated costs
• Plan and optimise load distribution using strong analytical and resource planning skills
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance revenue margins and cost accountability

What you’ll bring:

• Proven experience in a Fleet Supervisor or Controller role within transport & logistics
• Strong knowledge of OH&S, CoR & NHVR regulations
• Experience with SAP, MT Data, WMS or TMS systems
• A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
