ROLE SUMMARY:
The role is responsible for developing and maintaining induction materials and processes that support members in the safe operation, inspection and ongoing management of fleet assets. The position coordinates and delivers on-site inductions for fleet assets during vehicle deliveries and ensures members receive clear guidance on vehicle systems, operational requirements and inspection regimes.
The role also leads the ongoing development of the fleet induction framework, including maintaining induction records, supporting evaluation and continuous improvement of the program, and ensuring induction processes remain current with changes to fleet capability and operational requirements.
In addition, the Service Delivery Coordinator plays a key role in improving service delivery processes across the Fleet, Equipment and Clothing portfolio. The role champions the digitisation of forms and processes, supports the development of digital workflows and documentation, and works closely with technical teams to improve guides, specifications and supporting materials that enhance the volunteer experience.
The role requires regular travel to VICSES locations and other sites as required as part of the role, which may include overnight stays.
The role may be required to support workshops, taskforces and other engagement activities outside of standard business hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate volunteer availability and support planning and delivery requirements.
WHO WE ARE:
Victoria State Emergency Service (VICSES) is a volunteer-based emergency service. Our highly skilled and equipped Volunteers are trained comprehensively in a wide range of emergency environments. To minimise the impact of emergencies when they occur and strengthen the community's capacity to recover swiftly and safely, VICSES focuses on working with communities and partners in building resilience to achieve more aware, informed and prepared communities. We support them to understand their risk and the relevance of taking action before, during and after emergency events.
As the largest road rescue network in Australia we have specialist teams that provide a 24/7 response to road accident and trauma incidents. We assist Victoria Police in search and rescue operations, and play an important role in supporting the Country Fire Authority (CFA), Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV), Parks Victoria and the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) during major bushfire and emergency incidents.
