Picture yourself brightening someone’s day. When you join our Hotels team, that’s exactly what you’ll do every time you come to work! You are responsible for the general and maintenance work in the Engineering department. As a Trainee / Apprentice - Engineering, you’re not just developing hands-on technical expertise – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.

Responsibilities

Here’s what you’ll do during a typical day:

Assist engineers and learn from trade mechanics: Support engineering teams in maintaining the safety and functionality of guest rooms, public spaces, and heart-of-house areasGain hands-on experience in a variety of trades: Carry out repairs and maintenance in various areas, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, and masonryConduct preventive maintenance inspections: Inspect guest rooms, public spaces, and heart-of-house areas to identify maintenance needs and ensure preventive measures are in placeDocument maintenance activities: Record completed inspections and repairs and flag any issues requiring further attentionSupport department administration: Assist with office-related duties such as receiving deliveries and running errands for materials and partsCustomer Service Orientation: Exhibits a strong sense of service by being active and motivated in work, contributing to a positive guest experience.

In Addition, This Role Requires The Following Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent, a technical or engineering program preferredBasic understanding of mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering conceptsWillingness to learn equipment maintenance, safety procedures, and troubleshootingStrong sense of responsibility, teamwork, professionalism, and learning ability.Works well with supervisors and peersOpen to feedback and able to communicate clearlyFamiliarity with basic office software and digital tools used in engineering
