Retail Security Officers

About the Role

Securecorp is currently seeking motivated, professional, and customer-focused Security Officers to join our retail security team in Bankstown. We have opportunities available on a Full Time, Part Time, and Casual basis.

As a Retail Security Officer, you will play a key role in creating a safe and welcoming environment for customers, retailers, and staff. This position combines a strong security presence with exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive shopping experience while protecting people, property, and assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct high-visibility foot patrols throughout the retail centre both internally and externally 
• Monitor CCTV and respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies
• Provide a professional security presence and exceptional customer service
• Monitor access control and enforce site policies and procedures
• Respond to customer enquiries and provide directions or assistance as required
• Liaise with centre management, retailers, emergency services, and contractors
• Complete accurate incident reports and daily activity logs
• Identify and report hazards, suspicious behaviour, and security risks
• Assist in emergency evacuations and incident management when required

Skills & Experience

• Current NSW Security Licence
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificate 
• Previous retail security experience is highly regarded but not essential
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities
• Professional presentation and customer-focused approach
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively to incidents
• Reliable, punctual, and flexible to work rotating rosters, including weekends and public holidays
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
