The Opportunity:

Due to continual growth across our business, we have an exciting opportunity for a HSE Coordinator to join our Health and Safety Team!

We're seeking a proactive and detail oriented HSE Coordinator with a strong Safety First mindset to support health, safety, and environmental initiatives across our operations. In this role, you'll be instrumental in fostering a culture where safety is more than a policy - it's a core value. The ideal candidate is a hands on professional who combines regulatory knowledge with real world experience to ensure compliance, drive continuous improvement, and protect what matters most: our people

Any given day may see you…

• Partner with operational project leads, the wider safety community at YVE and our client to drive and deliver safety objectives and performance.
• Implementation of YVE's safety policies and systems.
• Ensuring compliance with statutory obligations and mitigating risk.
• Conducting safety audits.
• Performance monitoring and data analysis.
• Guidance on subcontractor management.
• Providing continual support and coaching.

Here's what we are looking for…

They must:

• Certificate IV or higher qualification in Occupational Health and Safety (highly desired)
• Prior safety experience gained within a project environment, preferably civil construction (highly desired)
• Valid Driver's Licence and Construction White Card
• Ability to effect change to achieve safety targets over a sustained period with a subcontractor and employee workforce.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills combined with the ability to influence at various business levels.
• Strong computer and data analysis skills that extend to report collation and presentation.
• Ability to think strategically, considering both client and local objectives/drivers.
• Ability to conduct audits; investigations of safety issues and assist in developing improvement plans based on findings.
