Senior Financial Analyst (NSW Publc Sector)

We are seeking a talented individual to join our NSW Public Sector team at Marsh. This role will be based in our Sydney office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

The Senior Financial Analyst will support the financial management and reporting of Public Sector mutual schemes in NSW. You will be responsible for daily accounting and month-end activities for the NSW branch, while working closely with senior finance leaders and the wider finance team to strengthen reporting, controls and process improvement.

We will count on you to:

Prepare monthly statutory accounts, supporting notes and audit filesMaintain accurate branch accounting records and complete month-end processes, including balance sheet reconciliationsPrepare the monthly Business Activity Statement and support income analysis, expense reviews, debtor management and board reportingAssist with budgeting, forecasting and other financial analysis, including reporting on key initiativesManage incoming finance correspondence, accounts payable processing and bank account maintenanceSupport auditors, finance system users and the wider team with ad hoc projects, process improvement and operational tasks

What you need to have:

Bachelor of Business, Accounting or Finance degree8+ years of relevant accounting experienceWell-developed technical accounting knowledge, including month-end close, reconciliations and statutory reportingAdvanced Excel, Word and Outlook skills, with the ability to manage confidential information, meet deadlines and handle competing priorities
