About the role
A business advisory firm, renowned for delivering excellent services to clients across Australia, is currently seeking an experienced Accountant to join its growing Business Services Division within its Melbourne office. By joining the team, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced people and develop a unique blend of taxation, management accounting and professional services skills.
Responsibilities:Preparing financial statements, tax returns, BAS/IAS, FBT or payroll tax returns for individuals, Companies, Partnerships and Trusts.Expert utilisation of a range of accounting software including Xero, MYOB and QuickBooksProviding tax planning and business advisory services to clients, including analysing financial and non-financial information to assist clients to monitor performanceDevelop strong relationships with clients and seek to further these relationships through quality product deliveryRecognizing potential additional work opportunities among current clients and actively promoting the firm and its services to both clients and associates.Involving in team training and mentoring with responsibilities to help grow the team’s knowledge and contribute to the business as a whole.
Qualifications:3+ years’ experience within Business Services, with strong technical skills;Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or similar and working towards or completed CA/CPA qualifications;A solid understanding of accounting standards and reporting responsibilities;Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written;Strong problem-solving and analytical skills;Expertise using accounting software including APS, MYOB and cloud-based tools e.g., Xero, QuickBooks.Have work rights, Australian Citizenship or hold Permanent Residency status in Australia
