The Opportunity
We're looking for an Occupational Therapist – Neuro to join our growing team in a mobile community-based role across the Gold Coast.You'll work primarily with clients living with neurological conditions, providing assessment, rehabilitation, adaptive and compensatory interventions, equipment prescription, environmental modifications, education and care-team training.
Our clients may be living with conditions including:StrokeAcquired brain injuryParkinson's diseaseMultiple sclerosisCerebral palsySpinal cord injuryOther neurological conditions
You'll work across a range of funding schemes including NIISQ, NDIS, WorkCover, Support at Home, DVA and private clients.
Depending on your experience and interests, your work may include:Comprehensive neurological and functional assessmentsPhysical and cognitive rehabilitationMotor and upper-limb rehabilitationAdaptive and compensatory interventionAssistive technology and equipment prescriptionHome modification and environmental assessmentCognitive rehabilitationClient, family and support-worker educationCare-team trainingFunctional Capacity Assessments and other clinical reportingCollaboration with medical and allied health professionalsOngoing review of treatment plans and client outcomes

About You
We're ideally looking for an OT with 2+ years' experience, particularly someone with experience working with, or a strong interest in developing their skills in, neurological practice.
That said, we're more interested in your clinical curiosity, attitude and willingness to learn than simply the number of years you've been practising.
If you're an early-career OT with a genuine interest in neurological rehabilitation, we'd still love to hear from you. You'll receive the supervision, mentoring and resources needed to continue developing your clinical skills.
You'll bring:A Bachelor or Master's degree in Occupational TherapyCurrent AHPRA registrationStrong clinical reasoning and communication skillsAn understanding of neurological conditions and their functional impactA commitment to evidence-based, person-centred practiceThe ability to manage a caseload and maintain high-quality clinical documentationA genuine interest in developing your skills in neurological OTA willingness to work collaboratively with clients, families and multidisciplinary teamsA current driver's licence and reliable vehicle for community-based work
