About the role
The Kwinana Bulk Fuel Terminal requires a Maintenance Spares Inventory Management system to be made fully operational. The systems infrastructure (Ultimo and Navision) is in place; however, a dedicated resource is required to complete the physical setup, cataloguing, and procurement activities necessary to bring the system to a live, functional state. This role is responsible for delivering that outcome within a defined three-month engagement period.
Key responsibilities
Conduct a full physical audit of all maintenance spares held at the Kwinana terminal
Organise, label, and locate spares in accordance with terminal storage standards and system requirements
Identify racking, shelving, and storage infrastructure requirements for maintenance spares; manage the procurement, installation, and commissioning of any required storage solutions
Create and maintain accurate item master records in Ultimo and Navision for all maintenance spares
Ensure each item is correctly coded, described, categorised, and linked to relevant equipment or asset records
Identify and resolve duplicate, obsolete, or incorrectly classified items
Apply consistent naming conventions and unit-of-measure standards across the catalogue
Identify gaps in the current spares inventory relative to equipment maintenance requirements and criticality classifications
Research and qualify suitable suppliers for missing or low-stock items
Work with the Ultimo and Navision system administrators to ensure all data is correctly loaded and validated
About you
Year 12 (or equivalent Australian secondary education)
University Diploma or Degree, preferably in Logistics, Business, Marketing, or Accounting
Sound knowledge and on-the-job experience in terminal operations
At least 3 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in stocks management
Experience in the Oil & Gas Industry is crucial to this role
Good understanding of transport and logistics modules
Ability to generate and interpret stock reports
Proficient in Microsoft Office and terminal management systems
Knowledge of stock control processes is essential
Good communication skills (written and verbal)
