About Us

Wesley Pharmacy Group operates within the Wesley Hospital precinct and includes a TGA-accredited oncology manufacturing facility — one of a small number of specialised compounding operations in Queensland. We prepare cytotoxic and oncology products that are dispensed directly to patients receiving cancer treatment.

About the Role

We're recruiting a full time Production Assistant to join our manufacturing team ahead of an increase in oncology production workload. This is a genuine entry-level opportunity — full training is provided over 4–6 weeks, and no prior manufacturing or pharmacy experience is required.

Shifts are rostered across day, afternoon, and evening windows (e.g. 9am–2pm, 1–6pm, 4–8pm), so availability across the full day is important.

What You'll Be Doing

• Performing defined checks throughout the production process

• Preparing oncology products and completing work instructions under the direction of the Production Manager

• Carrying out in-hood manufacturing processes accurately and consistently to meet clinic orders

• Maintaining cleanliness of manufacturing areas in accordance with TGA standards

• Ensuring orders are completed and dispatched within required timeframes

• Occasional time-critical delivery of items across sites (driver's licence an advantage)

This role is less about what you know coming in and more about how you work. Oncology manufacturing is a high-stakes, high-precision environment — the patients receiving these products are undergoing cancer treatment, and accuracy is non-negotiable.

You'll need:

• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under repetition

• Reliability to work rostered shifts each week

• A calm, professional manner in a fast-paced environment

• Strong commitment to WH&S standards

• A genuine customer-first mindset — even in a manufacturing context, what you produce matters to real patients

Nice to have:

• A current driver's licence

• Any background in pharmacy, healthcare, laboratory, or manufacturing environments
