Quantum Success Engineer - IonQ Program

Archer is seeking a Quantum Success Engineer to support our strategic collaboration with IonQ and help Australian users access and make effective use of the IonQ Quantum Cloud.

This is a hands-on, customer-facing technical role focused on onboarding, user support, training and troubleshooting. You’ll work with Archer customers, collaborators and program participants to help them get started on the IonQ platform, execute quantum workloads and navigate technical issues.

What you’ll do -

• Onboard and support users of the IonQ Quantum Cloud.

• Help users prepare and execute quantum workloads.

• Troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate with IonQ where required.

• Run training sessions, demonstrations, workshops and hackathons.

• Develop user guides, FAQs and technical support materials.

• Capture user feedback and help improve the overall user experience.

• Support Archer’s commercial and technical teams in engaging with customers and collaborators.

What we’re looking for -

You’ll have a background in physics, computer science, engineering, applied mathematics or another technical field, together with:

• Hands-on experience with Python and tools such as Jupyter Notebook or Google Colab.

• Some exposure to quantum computing or quantum programming.

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

• The ability to explain technical concepts clearly to different audiences.

• A practical, customer-focused approach.

Experience with quantum frameworks such as Qiskit, Cirq, PennyLane or CUDA-Q would be highly regarded.

We’re looking for someone with a strong technical foundation, an interest in quantum computing and a practical, customer-focused mindset. You’ll be curious, adaptable and enthusiastic about helping others understand and apply emerging quantum technologies.

The role is available on a part-time fixed-term, contract or casual basis.
