Curriculum Development Officer - Sydney / Melbourne

• 12 Month Fixed Term Contract (1.0-0.8FTE)

About the Role: 

Consent Labs is seeking a Curriculum Development Officer with experience in evidence-based educational design, curriculum development and project delivery. This role is suited to someone who is passionate about creating engaging, inclusive and impactful learning experiences, and who is committed to supporting cultural change to prevent sexual violence and promote consent and respectful relationships in Australia. Upon completion of the contract, there will be scope to discuss future opportunities for involvement in the organisation.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Educational Design & Curriculum Development

• Analyse, synthesise and translate consultation insights into high-quality evidence-informed curriculum resources.
• Design and develop engaging and inclusive educational modules, learning activities and resources across a range of programs.
• Ensure curriculum aligns with best practice in violence prevention, consent and respectful relationships education, pedagogical frameworks, accessibility standards, relevant curriculum requirements and adult learning principles.

Project Delivery & Coordination

• Develop and implement the curriculum development plan, including timelines, deliverables and milestones for the Parents & Carers project.
• Implement the curriculum development plan, including deliverables and milestones, for the Educator Professional Development project.
• Work collaboratively with curriculum team members to support effective workflows and high-quality project outcomes.
• Collaborate with the Head of Strategic Projects, internal teams and external partners to ensure alignment with project requirements and organisational objectives.

Key Success Measures: 

• Project delivery: Curriculum projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with project and organisational objectives.
• Quality curriculum design: Educational resources are evidence-based, engaging, accessible and aligned with best practice in violence prevention and consent education.
• Collaboration: Strong working relationships are built and maintained across teams and stakeholders, with adaptability and responsiveness in a fast-paced environment.

Selection Criteria: 

Essential

• Experience delivering projects, ideally within a curriculum, education or learning environment
• Experience in project planning and curriculum design
• Strong understanding of facilitation and learning principles
• Clear and confident communication skills
• Highly organised and self-directed, with the ability to manage competing priorities
• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
• Alignment with Consent Labs’ values and mission
• Commitment to trauma-informed and inclusive practice

Desirable

• Experience working in the gender-based violence sector
• Experience delivering grant-funded projects
• Experience with monitoring, evaluation and reporting
• Lived experience and/or strong connections to relevant communities
