Intermediate Accountant - Inner Northern Brisbane Suburb – Multi-Office Firm

Their inner-north Brisbane office offers convenient access to bus, train and Gateway arterial links, while maintaining a collaborative and supportive team environment. 

The Role: 

• Work closely with Senior Accountants and Managers to deliver high-quality compliance and advisory services 

• Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals 

• Preparing BAS and assisting with GST matters 

• Supporting tax planning and business advisory engagements 

• Liaising with clients via phone and email 

• Assisting with client relationship management 

• Continuing to build your technical knowledge and professional capability 

About You: 

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting or Business 

• Have 2–3+ years’ experience in Australian public practice 

• Have hands-on experience with companies, trusts and individual clients 

• Possess a solid understanding of tax compliance obligations 

• Be studying towards (or intending to commence) CA or CPA 

• Be proficient in Xero, MYOB or similar accounting software 

• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and effective communication skills 

• Thrive in a team-focused environment 

• Exposure to QBCC matters will be advantageous but is not essential.
