Motor Mechanic – Full TimeLocation: Perth, WASalary: $85,000 per annum + superannuationEmployment Type: Full Time
On behalf of our clients, we are seeking an experienced and qualified Motor Mechanic to join our team in Perth, Western Australia.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out servicing, diagnostics, maintenance and repairs on a range of motor vehicles while ensuring work is completed safely and to a high professional standard.
Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose mechanical and electrical faults in motor vehicles.Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance.Repair and replace engines, transmissions, braking, steering, suspension and other vehicle components.Inspect and test vehicle systems and components to identify faults.Use diagnostic equipment to identify mechanical and electronic issues.Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions and other components as required.Reassemble, test and adjust repaired components and systems.Carry out road testing and final inspections following repairs.Maintain accurate service and repair records.Ensure workshop equipment and tools are maintained and used safely.Comply with workplace health and safety requirements and workshop procedures.
Skills and ExperienceTo be considered for this position, applicants should have:AQF Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent automotive mechanical qualification.Relevant practical experience working as a Motor Mechanic or Automotive Technician - at least 3 years full-time equivalent work experience.Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.Experience servicing and repairing a variety of motor vehicles.Ability to work independently and as part of a workshop team.Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.Good communication and organisational skills.A current driver's licence.
Salary and ConditionsThis is a full-time position with an annual salary of $85,000 plus superannuation.The successful applicant will be offered ongoing employment in a professional workshop environment with the opportunity to develop their automotive skills and experience.
