Job Type: Permanent position | Full time position

• Interpret construction drawings, plans and specifications to determine materials,

measurements and installation requirements.

• Select and prepare timber and other building materials and organise layouts for carpentry work.
• Measure, cut and shape timber and related materials using hand and power tools to meet project specifications.
• Assemble and install structural frameworks, flooring systems, wall frames, roof structures and other timber components.
• Install and secure doors, windows, staircases, skirting boards, architraves and other building fixtures.
• Construct, fit and join timber structures and components for residential and commercial construction projects.
• Repair, replace or renovate damaged timber structures, fittings and other carpentry

elements as required.

• Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with Australian building standards, workplace safety requirements and project specifications.

Essential Skills and Experience

• AQF Certificate III or AQF Certificate IV in Carpentry, or an equivalent qualification.
• At least one (1) year of relevant full-time work experience as a Carpenter.
• Sound knowledge of carpentry techniques, construction methods and building materials.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical plans.
• Proficiency in using carpentry tools, machinery and measuring equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
