Bookkeeper

We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial transactions and maintain accurate accounting records. This role requires hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Business Central / Finance) and prior bookkeeping experience within a supermarket/grocery retail environment, as both are essential to the day-to-day demands of this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions (sales, purchases, receipts, payments) in Dynamics 365
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable within Dynamics 365 workflows
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger entries
• Prepare and issue customer invoices; follow up on outstanding payments
• Manage vendor payments and maintain accurate supplier records
• Assist with payroll processing and related compliance (PAYG, superannuation)
• Prepare BAS/GST lodgements and other periodic tax filings
• Generate financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) from Dynamics 365
• Maintain the chart of accounts and ensure correct transaction coding
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Assist with system data entry, imports, and basic troubleshooting within Dynamics 365
• Liaise with external accountants/auditors as required
• Maintain organised, audit-ready financial documentation

Requirements

Essential (Must Have)

• Proven hands-on experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Business Central and/or Finance & Operations) for day-to-day bookkeeping tasks
• Minimum 3–5 years' bookkeeping experience
• Solid understanding of core accounting principles (double-entry, accruals, reconciliations)
• Proficiency in Excel (formulas, pivot tables)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good organisational and time-management skills

Desirable

• Certificate IV in Bookkeeping/Accounting or working towards further qualification
• BAS Agent registration
• Experience with payroll processing
• Exposure to other Dynamics 365 modules (e.g., inventory, finance, purchase) or Power BI reporting

Pay: $52,880.00 – $90,915.43 per year
