Leading hand / Foreman

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Leading Hand / Foreman to join our growing team across high-end residential projects in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs and Inner West. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to an experienced carpenter who can manage day-to-day site operations, coordinate trades and lead the site team while remaining involved on the tools when required. The successful applicant will work closely with the Director to maintain quality, safety, programme and communication across each project.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations

• Lead and coordinate carpenters, apprentices and labourers

• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and material deliveries

• Complete and oversee high-quality carpentry works

• Manage structural set-out and construction sequencing

• Read and interpret architectural and structural drawings

• Monitor workmanship, safety and project programme

• Identify design or construction issues early

• Maintain site records and provide regular progress updates

• Maintain a clean, organised and professional worksite

About you

• Qualified carpenter with extensive high-end residential experience

• Previous experience as a Leading Hand, Foreman or Site Supervisor

• Strong knowledge of structural carpentry and detailed architectural finishes

• Ability to read and coordinate architectural, structural and services drawings

• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills

• High standard of workmanship and attention to detail

• Current White Card and driver's licence

• Own tools and reliable transport

• Australian working rights

• NSW Supervisor or Contractor Licence is desirable but not essential
