About the role

Elsum Family Law is seeking a dedicated Family Lawyer to join our team in Melbourne. This is a full-time opportunity for an experienced lawyer to provide exceptional family law services to our valued clients. 

What you'll be doing

• Providing advice and representation in all aspects of family law, including divorce, parenting matters, child support, property settlements, and financial agreements

• Conducting thorough client interviews to understand their unique needs and concerns

• Drafting and reviewing legal documents such as affidavits, separation agreements, and court orders

• Engaging in negotiations and mediation

• Representing clients in court proceedings 

What we're looking for

• Australian legal qualification and current practicing certificate in Victoria

• Minimum 2 years of experience in family law

• High level of knowledge in family law and ability to apply this to complex cases

• Excellent communication skills and ability to develop strong relationships with clients

• Ability to work collaboratively with other lawyers and staff to provide a high level of service and support to clients

• Excellent organisational and time management skills

• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities

• Strong attention to detail

• Commitment to ongoing professional development and keeping up to date with changes in family law
