Palliative Care RN2 Associate Nurse/Midwife

As an Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM), you'll work alongside the Nurse Unit Manager to provide clinical leadership, support a skilled multidisciplinary team, and help ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality palliative care. You'll play a key role in mentoring staff, driving continuous improvement, and contributing to the day-to-day coordination of the unit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the delivery of palliative care services, ensuring continuity and consistency
• Assist in managing ward/unit operations, including staffing, performance, and financial planning.
• Foster collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient care outcomes.
• Support the development of less experienced staff and ensure high practice standards.
• Contribute to practice improvements and operational management alongside the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager.

What We’re Looking For:

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
• Demonstrated clinical experience and leadership capability (at least 3 years post-registration experience)
• A commitment to delivering person-centred, compassionate palliative care.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution and teamwork skills.
• The ability to support, mentor and develop staff while promoting a positive team culture.
• Sound clinical judgement and a commitment to quality improvement and safe practice.
