Finance Representative - Vehicle

Australian Equipment Finance is growing—and we are looking for an energetic, personable and commercially minded Representative to join our team.

This is a standout opportunity for someone early in their sales career who wants to learn the finance industry from the ground up.

You will be embedded in a fast-expanding car dealership in Knoxfield four days a week, building strong relationships with the dealership’s sales team and helping customers access finance solutions that suit their needs. One day a week, you will work alongside our experienced finance team at our head office in Hawthorn.

With more than 20 years’ industry experience and relationships across 50+ lenders, Australian Equipment Finance provides tailored solutions across vehicle, equipment, personal, commercial and asset finance. Committed to straightforward service and responsive support helping clients make confident finance decisions.

The Opportunity

You will become a trusted finance contact within a busy dealership environment. Much of your work will come through referral relationships with the dealership’s team of sales professionals—so your ability to be visible, approachable, responsive and great with people will be central to your success.
This is not at all a hard-sell role. It is about understanding customers, following up promptly, building trust and ensuring every referral receives an
excellent experience.
  
What You’ll Do

• Build productive day-to-day relationships with the dealership sales team
• Meet and engage customers referred for vehicle-finance support
• Explain finance options clearly and professionally, with support from the finance team
• Manage customer follow-up and maintain a high standards of professional service
• Convert dealership referrals into quality finance opportunities
• Keep accurate customer records, referral and pipeline data up to date
• Use data to monitor activity, identify opportunities and improve follow-up outcomes
• Spend one day per week in Hawthorn office, learning from a collaborative finance team
• Contribute ideas, energy and initiative as both the dealership and business continue to grow

About You

You may be relatively new to sales, customer service or finance—but you are motivated, confident engaging with people and genuinely interested in building a career in business and finance.

Ideally you will bring:

• A naturally friendly, relatable and engaging communication style
• Strong customer-service instincts and the ability to make people feel comfortable
• Motivation to build relationships, follow up and create opportunities
• A positive, self-starting approach and the resilience to work toward targets
• Good organisation, attention to detail, confident working with data and CRM systems
• The ability to work independently while being a strong team contributor
• A professional presentation and the maturity to represent the business within a dealership
• A genuine desire to learn the finance industry and develop a long-term sales career

Previous finance experience is not essential. We are more interested in your attitude, relationship-building ability and willingness to learn.
