Trade Assistant/Yard Hand – Day Shift | Thiess Component Rebuild Centre | Darra, QLD

Heavy Maintenance Australia is looking for motivated and reliable Trade Assistants to join our team at the Thiess Component Rebuild Centre in Darra.

This is an excellent opportunity to secure a Monday to Friday day shift role with a pathway to a full-time permanent position after six months for the right candidates.

• Location: Thiess Component Rebuild Centre, Darra QLD

• Hours: Monday to Friday | 6:00am – 4:00pm

As a Trade Assistant, you'll play a key role in supporting our workshop team by assisting with component rebuild operations, warehousing, and workshop maintenance while working in a safety-focused environment.

• Loading and unloading trucks

• Assisting with warehousing operations

• Operating and maintaining pressure hot washers

• Assisting with crack testing procedures

• Supporting tradespeople with parts and component handling

• Following work schedules, procedures, and safety requirements

• Assisting with workshop housekeeping and parts cleaning

• Permanent working rights or a valid visa permitting work in Australia

• A positive, can-do attitude and strong work ethic

• Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety procedures

• Willingness to undertake a criminal background check

• Willingness to complete a pre-employment medical

• Current Forklift Licence (essential)

• Dogging experience required, with willingness to obtain additional tickets (training assistance provided)
