Job Description
We're looking for a Full-time Client Services Representative to join our reception team at AEC Kedron.
At AEC & Greencross Kedron, we offer 24/7 emergency and general practice care, with a dedicated team of emergency veterinarians and nurses. Our hospital is known for its high professional and clinical standards, paired with genuine care and compassion for both patients and their owners.
In this role you will be the first point of contact for our clients, playing a vital part in ensuring a smooth and supportive experience for both pets and their owners - particularly in urgent and high-pressure situations. We’re looking for someone who is reliable, adaptable, and able to remain calm and professional at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the first point of contact for all client interactions, both in person and over the phoneManage a multi-line switchboard, including handling high volumes of calls efficientlyTriage and respond appropriately to emergency patient enquiries, escalating when requiredCoordinate appointments, inquiries, and client communicationsMaintain accurate client records and documentationProvide clear information on services, pricing, and hospital policiesLiaise with veterinary staff to support seamless patient careProcess payments and handle basic financial transactionsEnsure the reception area is clean, organised, and welcomingAssist with general administrative tasks as required
About You
Previous experience in a client service role (veterinary or medical experience highly regarded)Confident managing a busy switchboard and high call volumesAbility to remain calm and composed in stressful or emergency situationsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsA team player who can also work independently when requiredExcellent organisational and multitasking abilitiesPassion for animals and commitment to excellent customer serviceAvailability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays (day and evenings)
