Chisholm is seeking an experienced and student-focused EAL / AMEP Teachers for our Foundation College team.

About The Role
As an EAL / AMEP teacher, Foundation College, your key responsibilities include:
Plan education practices and delivery sessions that reflect the most effective way to engage learners Ensure that teaching materials and resources meet all regulatory standards, training packages and related requirements Establish and maintain a positive learning environment, including encouraging students to take responsibility for their own learning Adapt learning and assessment materials to cater for different students, learning environments, facilities, and resources Undertake a range of administrative, coordination, and learning services activities directly related to the areas taught Assist in relation to the establishment, maintenance, and review of teaching programs Maintain a respectful, and safe environment free from discrimination, bullying and harassment
About You
You are a highly motivated individual with well-developed skills in transferring knowledge, including the ability to research, select and use a wide range of learning resources and assessment tools.
Essential
Qualifications required for the role
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) or qualifications that meet the RTO Standards or willingness to obtain One of the following qualifications: A four-year Bachelor of Education, with TESOL as a method; or A Bachelor degree plus a Master of Teaching with TESOL as a method A Bachelor degree plus Graduate Diploma of Education with TESOL as a method An initial teacher education qualification plus a postgraduate qualification that includes a 22-day supervised teaching practicum in TESOL, such as a:Graduate Certificate in Education (TESOL)Graduate Certificate in TESOLGraduate Diploma in TESOL Master of TESOL/Master of Applied Linguistics/Master of Arts (TESOL)
And
Registration with Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) or Employee Working With Children Check A record of Vocational Competency, mapped to Units of Competency engaged to deliver A record of Professional Currency, demonstrating current industry and teaching knowledge
