A/C & Refrigeration Installation Mechanic

About the Role

A&J Air is looking for an experienced Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Installation Mechanic to join our professional, friendly team based in Redhead. This role involves the installation of a wide range of commercial and industrial air conditioning and refrigeration systems across the Hunter region.

We’re also open to considering a 3rd or 4th year apprentice who’s enthusiastic about growing their skills in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation of commercial and industrial A/C and refrigeration systems

• Ducted, split, VRF/VRV, and package unit installations

• Install copper piping, insulation, and controls per design specifications

• Collaborate with project managers and other trades to deliver jobs efficiently

• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in compliance with safety and regulatory requirements

• Maintain site documentation and communicate progress with the team and clients

About You

• Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (or nearing completion)

• Current refrigeration handling license (ARCtick)

• Current driver’s license

• Strong technical and problem-solving skills

• High attention to detail and workmanship

• Positive, reliable, and team-oriented attitude
