About the role

East Road Family Doctors is seeking a dedicated Practice Nurse to join our healthcare team on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patient care within a supportive general practice environment in Hocking, WA 6065. As a Practice Nurse, you will be a vital member of our clinical team, providing high-quality nursing care and support to patients across a range of healthcare needs. This role offers the flexibility of part-time work whilst contributing significantly to the delivery of patient-centred care in our community.

Key responsibilities

• Conducting patient assessments and vital signs monitoring including blood pressure, temperature, and weight measurements

• Assisting with clinical procedures and examinations as directed by the General Practitioner

• Administering vaccinations and immunisations in accordance with current guidelines and protocols

• Providing wound care, dressing changes, and minor injury treatment

• Supporting the management of chronic diseases including diabetes, hypertension, and asthma through patient education and monitoring

• Maintaining accurate and comprehensive patient records and documentation

• Promoting health and wellbeing through patient education and health promotion activities

• Contributing to the smooth operation of the practice by maintaining a clean, safe and organised clinical environment

• Working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes

What we're looking for

• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) as an Enrolled Nurse or Registered Nurse

• Relevant nursing qualification and current professional indemnity insurance

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, families and colleagues

• Current immunisation provider certification or willingness to obtain this qualification

• Organisational skills and attention to detail in maintaining patient records and documentation

• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the varying needs of a busy general practice
