**About Us**
 
Our Mission is to enable tailored support for people with disability, empowering them to live their best life. We do this by matching people with disability with volunteer advocates in their local community, creating unique, often long-term relationships.
 
Over the past 45 years, we have facilitated 359 long-term friendships. Today, our dedicated volunteers deliver $390,000 in annual pro bono advocacy, amplifying the reach and depth of our impact.
 
**The Opportunity**
 
We are seeking a distinguished and community-minded individual to join Citizen Advocacy as our Honorary Patron. This is a high-profile, non-executive role designed for a leader who is passionate about disability advocacy and wishes to use their influence to champion our mission.
 
As our Patron, you will serve as the "face" of our organisation, helping us build credibility, reach new audiences, and inspire the next generation of supporters.
 
**What You’ll Do**
 
While the role is ceremonial and flexible, we are looking for a Patron who is willing to:

* **Open Doors:** Introduce our mission to your professional and social networks where appropriate.
* **Advocate:** Occasionally represent the organisation in media opportunities or public forums.
* **Be a Presence:** Attend 3-4 flagship events per year.
* **Lend Your Voice:** Provide a brief "Patron’s Message" for our annual reports and key publications.

**Who You Are**

* We are looking for a person of standing within the disability, advocacy or volunteering sectors.
* You have a track record of leadership and a respected public profile.
* You possess a genuine alignment with our values.
* You are a confident public speaker and a natural connector of people.
