Due to continued growth, we are seeking a technically capable and customer-focused Product Support Engineer to join our Melbourne team.

About the Role

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this role will provide technical product support, engineering assistance and customer solutions across BPW Transpec’s range of trailer axle, suspension, braking and transport technologies.

This is a hands-on technical role suited to an engineer who enjoys combining product knowledge, customer interaction, troubleshooting and technical design support.

The successful candidate will work closely with customers, OEM trailer manufacturers, workshops, sales teams and internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality technical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

 ·         Provide technical support and product guidance to customers, dealers and internal teams

·         Assist with trailer component selection, fitment and application engineering

·         Prepare and modify technical drawings using AutoCAD (2D preferred,) experience using 3D CAD software

·         Support product installation, troubleshooting and warranty investigations

·         Liaise with OEMs and workshops regarding technical specifications and compliance

·         Assist with product documentation, technical manuals and engineering updates

·         Preparation of technical training materials and support for training sessions where required

·         Work collaboratively with sales and operations teams to ensure customer satisfaction

·         Support continuous improvement initiatives and technical problem solving

Skills & Experience

         Essential:

·         Engineering qualification or relevant industry experience in mechanical, automotive or transport engineering

·         Strong proficiency in AutoCAD / ACAD / Inventor preferred

·         Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications

·         Experience within heavy vehicle, trailer, transport equipment or mechanical industries

·         Excellent communication and customer service skills

·         Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

·         Proficient computer and technical reporting skills

        Desirable:

·         Experience with trailer axle, suspension or brake systems

·         Knowledge of Australian Design Rules (ADR)

·         Exposure to manufacturing or OEM environments

·         Field service or technical support experience
