We're making waves.

An exciting Melbourne restaurant group is gearing up to open a brand-new seafood destination in St Kilda — and we're looking for a Sous Chef who's ready to make it unforgettable.

This isn't just a kitchen role. You'll help lead our flagship seafood opening while playing a key part in overseeing operations across our beloved venues — Meatworks Co in South Melbourne and Pino Pinelli in Collingwood. It's a big role for someone with big ambitions.

📋 The Role:

• Full-time position at our new St Kilda seafood restaurant

• Support the Head Chef in all day-to-day kitchen operations

• Lead the team during service with confidence and calm

• Assist with menu development and seasonal specials

• Maintain the highest standards of food quality and consistency

• Oversee food prep, portion control and waste management

• Help manage kitchen rosters, ordering and stock control

• Uphold food safety and hygiene standards at all times

• Step up in the Head Chef's absence

✅ What You'll Bring:

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong Senior Chef de Partie ready to step up

• Solid seafood knowledge and a love for working with quality produce

• Natural leadership — you lift the team, not just yourself

• Cool under pressure with strong time management skills

• Hardworking, honest and ego-free

• A genuine passion for hospitality and great food

• Food Safety Supervisor certificate (or willingness to obtain)
