Altitude Recruitment is partnering with a leading Sydney based organisation to find a Lead Microservices and AI Technical Architect.
This is a rare opportunity to shape enterprise architecture from the ground up, exercise genuine technical authority, and drive the adoption of AI across the entire software delivery lifecycle. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in building lasting engineering capability while working on a program of national significance.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical leadership and architectural authority for cloud native, microservices based and AI enabled platformsLead the establishment of AI enabled software development practices, including DevSecOps, CI/CD, observability and automated testingDrive technology modernisation through microservices enhancement, containerisation and enterprise system integrationBuild organisational capability through knowledge transfer, engineering governance and leadership of multidisciplinary teamsInfluence system builds and engineering decisions while ensuring capability transfer occurs throughout delivery.
Key Requirements:
Extensive experience designing, implementing and governing cloud native, microservices and event driven architectures within complex enterprise environmentsDemonstrated expertise in AI engineering and AI enabled solution delivery, including semantic search, machine learning solutions and responsible AI practicesStrong software engineering and platform engineering capability, including modern development frameworks, DevSecOps and operational excellenceProven ability to lead enterprise technology modernisation initiatives, influencing architecture decisions and delivering measurable improvementsExceptional stakeholder engagement and leadership skills, with experience translating complex business requirements into practical technology outcomesAbility to obtain a Baseline security clearance
