The Why

The Risk Enablement Manager (Business) (internally titled Consultant) plays a key role in supporting the delivery of first line risk, control, and compliance activities across designated business portfolios.

Working closely with Risk Enablement Senior Managers (Partners) and business stakeholders, you’ll help identify, assess, and manage risks in line with Ubank’s risk appetite enabling the business to move with confidence while maintaining strong, practical risk management.

Key Responsibilities

Support the identification and assessment of operational and non-financial risksAssist in delivering first line risk, control, and compliance support across business activities, initiatives, and change programsManage risk profiling activities, including documenting risks, controls, and key risk indicators (KRIs)Support the design, implementation, and monitoring of controls to ensure they are effective and fit-for-purposeMonitor compliance with policies and standards, identifying and escalating risks, gaps, and issuesAssist in managing incidents, issues, and remediation actions, ensuring accurate tracking and timely follow-upContribute to high-quality risk reporting and insights for stakeholders and governance forumsSupport initiatives to uplift risk awareness and capability across the businessAssist with risk governance activities and coordination with second line and assurance teamsBuild knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry practices, applying these in a practical business context

Your Experience

3+ years’ experience in risk management, assurance, or audit (ideally within financial services)Understanding of non-financial risk frameworks, controls, and regulatory requirementsExperience supporting risk and control assessments, and incident/issue managementStrong analytical skills with a pragmatic, solutions-focused mindsetEffective communication and stakeholder engagement skillsA proactive approach, with a willingness to learn and develop risk expertiseStrong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
