About the Role
Are you a hands-on leader who loves the outdoors and believes everyone deserves the chance to thrive in the workplace?
We aren’t just looking for someone to manage lawnmowers; we are looking for a mentor. In this role, you will supervise the Property Care Team, supporting and coaching employees with disability as they build independence, master new skills, and take pride in their work. If you have a passion for gardening and an even bigger passion for helping people grow, we want you on our team.
Why You’ll Love This Role

The Great Outdoors: Ditch the desk and spend your days keeping the Northam community beautiful.
A Supportive Culture: Work within an ethical, respectful, and purpose-driven environment.
Selection Criteria
To succeed in this role, you need to be a people person first and a property care expert second. We are looking for:
A Natural Mentor: Experience or a deep understanding of supporting people with disabilities, with the ability to coach, train, and encourage independence.
Green Thumbs & Great Standards: A genuine interest in gardening and the desire to equip your team to deliver high-quality work.
Top-Notch Communication: The ability to collaborate seamlessly with your team and confidently liaise with key stakeholders.
An Ethical Mindset: A strong commitment to service, privacy, confidentiality, and safety.
Good written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
The Essentials: A current valid WA driver’s license, excellent interpersonal skills, and a willingness to undergo standard industry background checks (including NDIS Worker Screening, Police Check, and Working with Children Check).
It is desirable, although not necessary, that you have experience and certificates in horticulture and weed control.

Additional 1 paid leave per calendar year for cultural or ceremonial reasons.
Why Join Us?
At Best Lives, you’ll be part of a supportive and professional team dedicated to making a meaningful impact on the lives of people with disability. We value your expertise and are committed to providing a positive and engaging work environment.
