Medical Receptionist

Littlehampton Medical Centre | Adelaide Hills

Littlehampton Medical Centre is seeking a professional, friendly and customer-focused Medical Receptionist to join our established and supportive general practice team in the Adelaide Hills.

As one of the first points of contact for our patients, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming and positive experience while helping our busy clinic run smoothly.

This position would suit someone with previous medical reception or healthcare administration experience who enjoys working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Welcoming patients and providing friendly, professional front-desk service

• Managing appointments and patient bookings

• Answering incoming calls and responding to patient enquiries

• Processing payments and Medicare/DVA claims

• Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records

• Managing correspondence and general administrative tasks

• Supporting our doctors, nurses and allied health professionals

• Using Best Practice clinical software and other practice systems

We are looking for someone who is:

• Experienced in medical reception or healthcare administration

• Familiar with medical terminology and general practice workflows

• Experienced with Best Practice software or a similar medical practice system – preferred but not essential

• Confident communicating with patients both in person and over the phone

• Organised, efficient and able to manage competing priorities

• Accurate and attentive to detail

• Comfortable working in a busy, multi-doctor practice

• Professional, reliable and team-focused
