Commissioning Technician

bluebottle is growing and we are looking for an experienced and passionate Commissioning Technician to join our awesome VIC team!

We are a thriving Australian business that is doing some exciting things around integrated lighting and control solutions. As we continue to expand, we're looking for a passionate, proactive, problem solver with a strong commissioning background.

Working closely with Project Managers, site stakeholders and contractors, the role supports the safe and efficient delivery of projects through onsite coordination, commissioning, technical problem solving and timely escalation of issues that may impact scope, schedule or quality outcomes. 

No two days, or projects will be the same, however your role will involve:

• Commissioning, programming, testing, system verification and handover activities in accordance with approved project documentation, design intent, specifications, company standards and applicable industry requirements. 

• Coordinating onsite activities with clients, contractors and site representatives, to support efficient project delivery. 

• Supporting defect management, commissioning issue resolution, system performance optimisation, practical completion and project handover activities. 

• Maintain accurate and timely project reporting, commissioning records, quality documentation, defect registers and handover documentation in accordance with company and project requirements. 

The role also includes technical support to project delivery activities, including estimating, documentation, testing, design reviews and project preparation as required. 

We are committed to developing and upskilling our team, however the following skills are required for the role.

• Demonstrated experience in commissioning, programming, testing or fault-finding any of the following systems: lighting control, building automation , AV/control, smart building platforms, or similar. 

• Ability to program, test, troubleshoot and document systems to a high standard. 

• Excellent written and verbal communication  

• Excellent Interpersonal skills. 

• Proactive, solutions focused with a continuous improvement mindset
