About the role
The Role
We are looking for a hands-on Assistant Warehouse Manager to support the day-to-day running of our warehouse. You will help coordinate warehouse activities, allocate daily tasks, supervise the team, and assist with picking, packing, loading, dispatch and stock control. This is a practical, hands-on role suited to someone with warehouse experience who is ready to take on more responsibility and support the Warehouse Manager.
What you need to bring along
The ideal candidate will have hands-on warehouse experience and be comfortable taking responsibility for coordinating daily warehouse activities and supporting a team.
Previous experience in warehousing, ideally in a senior storeperson, leading hand, supervisor or similar role.
Experience with picking, packing, loading, dispatch and receiving goods.
Ability to allocate daily tasks and provide direction to warehouse staff.
Current Forklift Licence (LF).
Current Australian Driver’s Licence.
Good understanding of warehouse safety and safe work practices.
Basic computer skills, with experience using warehouse or inventory systems.
SAP or WMS experience is highly regarded.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Reliable, organised and able to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Willingness to be hands-on and assist the team with day-to-day warehouse duties.
Experience in the tyre, automotive, transport or distribution industry would be an advantage.
