Restaurant Supervisor

The Crocodile Hunter Lodge has been designed to reconnect guests with nature, and is home to beautiful native wildlife, with black cockatoos and kangaroos visiting most days. The Warrior restaurant overlooks a state-of-the-art home for our resident emus, kangaroos and koalas.

The Restaurant Supervisor will coordinate and train all Food and Beverage Attendants assigned to a designated space.  They ensure a high standard of customer service is met, and have a great understanding of all fine dining techniques of service. This customer facing role will have a high level of expectation to ensure that guests have a seamless and polished experience.

The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to problem solve, work collaboratively within a team and provide excellent standards of customer service. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to lead, a passion for service and will deliver a world-class experience to our guests each time they visit. The successful candidate will see a majority of their time spent on the floor, handling queries and assisting with cuisine and wine pairings and the upskilling of staff.

 Duties include but are not limited to:

• Overseeing operational requirements for opening and closing the restaurant

• Managing staff and coordinating teams whilst remaining mindful of Customer Service and Budget KPIs

• Appointing, inducting and mentoring new staff members 

• Managing bookings and assigning new tasks to staff 

• Resolving customers’ questions and grievances in a professional manner 

• Ensuring industry specific guidelines are adhered to and any recommendations are made with adequate notice to the appropriate stakeholders

• Assisting Management in the Development of policies and procedures and implementing these into service 

• End of Day Point of Sale system Reconciliation, including Cash and counting of floats

• Ordering stock in conjunction with management and bar management

• Profit Management alongside the Restaurant Manager

• Stock Management alongside the Restaurant Manager/Executive Chef

Essential Criteria: 

• Experience in a similar role within a fine dining establishment 

• Experience within a supervisory position

• Full availability, including weekends, evenings, public holidays and school holidays 

• RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) 

• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
