About the role
Perth Oral Medicine & Dental Sleep Centre
West Leederville, Jandakot & Padbury
Are you the person in your clinical team who notices when something needs doing — and just gets it done?
The person others naturally come to for help, who takes pride in a beautifully organised clinic, takes infection control seriously and genuinely cares about the people they work alongside?
We’re looking for a Clinical Coordinator to become a trusted and supportive presence within our clinical team.
This isn't a role for someone who wants to sit in an office and manage from behind a desk. We want someone who enjoys being out in the clinic, connected with the team, supporting our clinicians and Dental Assistants and helping things run well every day.
The RoleWorking across our West Leederville, Jandakot and Padbury practices, you'll help coordinate and support the day-to-day running of our clinical areas.
You'll be someone our clinical team can rely on — a safe person to approach, a problem solver and someone who follows things through rather than letting them fall off the list.
Some days you'll be coordinating, training or checking systems. Other days you may be jumping chairside, helping a team member, sorting equipment or getting stuck into whatever needs attention.
Your role will include:
Supporting our Dental Assistants and clinicians throughout their day
Maintaining excellent infection control standards and ensuring protocols are consistently followed
Keeping clinical areas organised, stocked and running efficiently
Staying on top of equipment maintenance, servicing and clinical requirements
Helping onboard, train and support new clinical team members
Providing guidance and feedback in a positive and respectful way
Following up clinical tasks and making sure things are actioned through to completion
Identifying problems early and helping find practical solutions
Providing chairside assistance and clinical cover when needed
Working closely with our leadership team to continually improve our clinical environment
Experience matters, but character matters just as much to us.
We're looking for someone with integrity — someone who does the right thing even when nobody is watching.
Someone dependable and dedicated who takes genuine ownership of their role. If something is added to your list, you don't need to be chased to make sure it happens.
You'll take infection control seriously and understand that the little things matter enormously in a clinical environment.
Most importantly, you'll enjoy being part of the team.
You don't need to be the loudest person in the room or have years of management experience. You may simply be an experienced Dental Assistant who has naturally become the person others rely on and you're ready for your next step.
We'd love to meet someone who:
Has Dental Assisting experience
Takes pride in high clinical and infection control standards
Is organised and follows through
Communicates openly, calmly and respectfully
Builds trust easily with different personalities
Enjoys teaching and helping others grow
Is comfortable having respectful conversations when standards aren't being met
Notices what needs doing without always needing to be asked
Is happy to roll up their sleeves and help the team
Can travel between our three Perth locations
Previous coordination, senior Dental Assisting or leadership experience would be wonderful, but it isn't essential for the right person.
Why Join Us?We're a specialist practice with a team who genuinely care about providing excellent patient care and supporting one another.
Our values of Excellence, Empathy, Integrity, Dedication and Innovation aren't just words on a wall — they're what we look for in the people who join our team.
For the right person, this is an opportunity to step beyond traditional Dental Assisting and become an important connection between our clinicians, clinical team and leadership.
You'll still be part of the action, but you'll also have the opportunity to make things better — supporting people, improving systems and helping create a clinical environment where the team feels organised, confident and supported.
If you're reading this thinking, "I'm already the person who does that in my clinic," we'd really love to hear from you.
