Guest Experience Host (Education)

We currently have a fantastic opportunity to join our team as a Casual Guest Experience Host (Education) across SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium and WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo.

About the Role

As part of the SEA LIFE and WILD LIFE Sydney team, you will deliver high-quality educational tours, presentations and experiences, with a strong focus on exceptional customer service and sharing your knowledge of our attractions and the animals in our care.

You will be responsible for delivering accurate, informative, entertaining and educational public shows, lessons and tours that enhance our guests' experience and knowledge, while ensuring the highest standards of guest satisfaction, health and safety are maintained.

No two days will be the same in this fast-paced environment, where you will have the opportunity to engage with guests of all ages and bring the incredible world of animals, conservation and our facilities to life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service and create memorable experiences for our guests.
• Deliver accurate, informative, entertaining and educational public shows, lessons, presentations and tours.
• Continually develop your knowledge of the animals in our care, including their adaptations, classifications, habitats, lifecycles and conservation.
• Engage guests of all ages through confident, enthusiastic and engaging communication.
• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of guests throughout all tours and educational experiences.
• Ensure guest access spaces are operational and that daily program commitments are delivered.
• Maintain high site and guest experience standards in line with health and safety requirements.

About You

The ideal candidate will be passionate about education, animals and delivering exceptional guest experiences. You will be confident communicating with a wide range of audiences and enjoy making learning fun, engaging and memorable.

You will also have:

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• A passion for delivering engaging educational experiences.
• The ability to confidently present information to groups in an entertaining and informative way.
• A strong commitment to guest experience and health and safety.
• The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team environment.
• A willingness to continually learn and develop your knowledge of animals, conservation and the attractions.
• Teaching qualifications and/or previous teaching, education or facilitation experience will be highly regarded.
