About the role
We have an exciting position for a second Coordinator at our centre in Wakerley. We are seeking an enthusiastic, committed person who will work closely with our volunteers and clients. The ideal person has an administrative background, great customer service experience and a passion for assisting others.
This is a part-time position working 11 hours per week, 2 days a week.
About us
Wynnum Manly Meals on Wheels is a non-profit organisation that has been operating in the Wynnum Manly community for over 65 years.
Key responsibilities
Ensure that My Aged Care referrals are processed, and the service portal is maintained as per policies and procedures.
Ensure that appropriate client and volunteer records and necessary data are maintained.
Organise daily meal and run sheets. Check runs are evenly distributed, rearrange where necessary.
Organise the collection and processing of weekly meal payments, including the issuing of invoices/receipts, to ensure all funds are accounted for.
Provide the reconciliation report and any required documentation to the Treasurer, weekly, including being accountable for and reporting any discrepancies.
Process suitability checks for new volunteers and, upon expiry, current volunteers, recording approvals and expiry dates to ensure currency.
Organise volunteers' daily roster for Meal Deliveries.
Accept referrals and any phone enquiries. Record the client information appropriately.
Process feedback regarding the service as per policies and procedures.
Monitor operations and delivery of all relevant services to ensure compliance with Food Safety regulations, and Aged Care Standards; through Workplace Health and Safety practices ensure safe working conditions for all staff and volunteers.
About you
Demonstrate ability to coordinate the day-to-day activities of a frontline community service including volunteers, administration, meal management and financial tasks.
Demonstrated experience in the planning, working and managing time with minimal supervision and under pressure, including the ability to discern priorities, plan and coordinate with others to complete tasks.
Intermediate to advanced skills in the Microsoft Office suite of programs.
Demonstrate experience working as a member of a multi-disciplinary, collaborative team.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Compassionate attitude for the elderly and frail in our community.
A police check will be undertaken for the successful applicant.
